In Roblox your child will unleash their creativity and develop games with unlimited possibilities with our Roblox Studio lessons. 

They will build an Obby adventure game, by learning to design in Roblox, sculpt terrains, create GUI elements and much more.

Their game will be filled with obstacles, puzzles, and challenges, that will develop their creative and technical skills which can be enjoyed with family and friends.

Virtual course format

Our courses are divided into two parts, each of which can be taken as a standalone one-week course.

What your child will learn

Part 1 - Beginner to Intermediate

Pre-requisites: None

  • Roblox Studio
  • Parts (Addition, Deletion, Copy)
  • Part Properties (Material, Colour, Anchors, Lock, Group, Move & Rotate to Studs)
  • Transformation (Translation, Rotation, Scale)
  • Checkpoints (Single Player, Teams)
  • Terrain (Generation, Deletion, Brush Settings, Add, Subtract, Grow, Erode, Smooth, Flatten)
  • Game Publishing

Part 2 - Advanced

Pre-requisites: Part 1

  • Solid Modelling (Union, Negate, Separate)
  • Ropes (Free length, Elasticity)
  • Hinges (Motor, Servo, Rotation)
  • Welds
  • Springs (Strength, Elasticity)
  • Prismatic Constraints (Motor, Actuator, Speed)
  • Cylindrical Constraints (Motor, Actuator, Speed)
  • World GUI (Frames, Text, Images)
  • Screen GUI (Frames, Text, Images)

    Chromebooks and iPads are not supported

Internet speed requirements

  • 5Mbps download speed and 3Mbps upload speed (per user)
  • If using FunTech Virtual Machine at least 6Mbps download speed and 6Mbps upload speed; lower speeds will work, but the quality of the remote computer experience will deteriorate (per user)

Minimum system requirements

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or later or OS X 10.9 or later
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-3210 / AMD A8-7600 APU or equivalent 
  • Memory: 4GB (4,096MB) RAM
  • Free HDD space: 1GB 
  • Graphics requirements known as GPU (Graphics Processing Unit): any GPU that supports OpenGL 4.4
  • Hardware: keyboard, mouse, and headset with microphone
  • Admin access required

Course software must be installed before the start of the camp. Instructions on how to do this will be in your FunTech Parent Portal and includes free technical support.

If the software is not installed prior to the start of the camp, then your child will miss some of the course and their may be an additional charge to catch up on missed content.
